Avington Park   Description Avington is a Georgian manor house and was once owned in the mid 19th century by Sir John Shelley, brother of the poet. The estate was sold to Lt. Col and Mrs Hickson in 1953, and is now in trust with their family. Turn left to Avington.     Parking Parking on site     Refreshments The tea bar is in a conservatory and serves refreshments, homemade cake and locally made ice cream during house open times.     Accessibility Toilets for the disabled. The ground floor of the house and the grounds are all fairly level. Where there is a step, we can provide a ramp. The first floor is not accessible as we have no lift.
