Classic Boat Museum
  Description
Run entirely by volunteers Classic Boat Museum is collection of Sailing and power boats, of both local and national interest and importance. Their aim is to preserve and present the best of those boats that demonstrate the workmanship of past generations for the delight of the present.

The collection also contains, tools, artefacts, books, photographs, film and archival items that relate to much of the history of boat building, sailing, yachting, cruising and racing over the last century, in the Solent and beyond. All the boats in the exhibition are in a seaworthy condition and are sailed or driven as often as possible.

The Museum is off the Newport/Ryde road (A3020), at the Seaclose traffic lights, following the brown sign. Pedestrians can walk from the town along the eastern side of the river.
 
  Refreshments
Hot and Cold Drinks, biscuits and chocolate bars are available, as well as a well stocked shop.

There is full disabled access, including toilet facilities.
