This 17th century house in Chawton was the home of Jane Austen for the last eight years of her life, she wrote some of her best work here.

In the same village is Chawton House. Guided tours take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 2.30pm and include a guided tour of the house, library and gardens.
Follow the A31 one mile south-west of Alton and at the Chawton roundabout (A31/A32), Jane Austen's House is signposted.
