house in Chawton was the home of Jane Austen for the last eight
years of her life, she wrote some of her best work here.
Jane Austen is Known worldwide for her novels portraying
the daily social life in England in the 18th and 19th Centuries.

In the same village is Chawton House. Guided tours take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 2.30pm and
include a guided tour of the house, library and gardens.
