Lepe Country Park
  Description
Lepe is a coastal Country Park with excellent views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. On the cliffs above the car park there is a large green area which is popular for ball games and picnics, there is also a large children’s play area.

Walking east you’ll find some remains from the preperations for D-Day. Lepe was a major departure point for troops, vehicles and supplies, a construction site the prefabricated floating Mulberry Harbour and as a land base for a fuel pipeline that extended under the channel to France.
