a large green area which is popular for ball games and picnics,
there is also a large children’s play area.
Walking east you’ll find some remains
from the preperations for D-Day. Lepe was a major departure point
for troops, vehicles and supplies, a construction site the prefabricated
floating Mulberry Harbour and as a land base for a fuel pipeline
that extended under the channel to France.
Walking west, Hampshire County Council have
a map and route description of a 5 mile round trip walk click
