Description |
|
|
|
Built in the style
of an Italian villa, Osborne House was the much-loved home
of Queen Victoria and her family, a residence
which afforded them some privacy and seclusion from public life.
The grounds contain a summerhouse, a museum, and a miniature fort and barracks,
as well as the Swiss Cottage, originally built as an educational tool where the
royal children could learn domestic skills.
