At tea we talked to them & found her in particular so agreeable that after tea us 3 fetched our work & sat in the drawing room. Mr Duffy is an amusing old gentleman.

The game of Graces

The game had recently been invented in France and was called le jeu des Graces. The Game of Graces was considered a proper game benefiting young ladies and supposedly, tailored to make them more graceful. |
