Ravenscourt House                    Introduction When Jessy started writing this journal she was 19 and living at home with her mother, father, eldest sister Lucy and her youngest and closest sister Hannah (17yrs). There were two other older sisters, Marianne who was now living at Down near Guildford and who already had five children and Georgiana who was living at Beech Hill near Woking and had one child. Her two grandmothers lived nearby, "Stoemama", mother of Hannah Stoe and "Grannie", mother of Hannah Gibson. Much of Jessy's time was spent visiting or being visited by friends and relatives and going to parties and balls.
