Emily Jane Wareham born 1897        Home village or town, Havant, Hampshire   Emily was born on the 27th January 1897 in Havant Union Workhouse but never mentioned it to anybody until the end of her life.       East Street, Havant c1905.   Before she got married Emily worked in Pinks Grocery Store in East Street, Havant. Emily is second on the right in this photograph c1917.           Havant Congregational Church c1910. Emily was a regular church goer, this was her church in North Street and this is where she was married in 1920. Her father in 1896 and son, Alfred in 1947 were also married here.       Thomas and Emily are married in Havant in 1920 both aged 23yrs. I think directly behind Emily are her mother and father. Just behind Thomas I think is his mother and the young lady top left and the lady sitting next to Thomas are his sisters, Annie and Ada.   Below: Emily's birth and marriage certificates.
